#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Residents of our region can look forward to two exciting astronomical events this February. On February 12, the full Moon, known as the Snow Moon, will occur. The Moon will be positioned in the constellation Leo, right next to the brightest star, Regulus. This information comes from the Telegram channel of Reshetnev university.
The name Snow Moon reflects February’s reputation for heavy snowfall in these areas.
Starting February 28, a planetary parade will be visible, with all seven planets and the Moon lining up in a straight line. Without a telescope, you’ll be able to see Mars, Venus, Jupiter, and Saturn. Experts recommend observing the parade just after sunset for the best view.
It has also been noted that astronomical tours are gaining popularity in Russia. Norilsk residents have been sharing stunning photos of rare lenticular clouds and a solar halo.
