#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The Norilsk Development Agency (NDA), together with the Taimyr Nature Reserves, is launching a project to preserve rare bird species and popularize birdwatching. The term ‘birdwatching’ first appeared in English in the 30s of the last century.

As told in the NDA, the project starts within the framework of promoting ecological tourism in the territory of the Arctic tourist cluster.
It will be opened by cycle of lectures on the peninsula’s birds. On May 30, the first meeting will take place, at which Mikhail Bondar, deputy director for research and environmental education of the Taimyr Nature Reserves, will talk about the rare species of anseriformes of the peninsula, their way of life and habits.
Earlier, we told about the northern birds of the Red Book and the International Bird Day.
