Polar day settled in Norilsk

Doctors warn northerners about polar stress syndrome.

#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. From May 19 to July 25 there is a polar day in Norilsk – this means that the sun will shine around the clock. Doctors warn that northerners may experience an exacerbation of polar tension syndrome at this time – this is not a disease, but increased vulnerability and emotional instability.

The syndrome can occur due to climate conditions, including the polar day and night change. After a long winter, people may feel certain difficulties in adaptation – drowsiness and lethargy are replaced by activity and even overexcitation: sometimes they fall asleep, sometimes, on the contrary, they cannot sleep. And in the morning one may feel exhausted.

To feel comfortable, doctors recommend following a routine. Fall asleep and wake up at the same time every day. Sleep in a dark room as the hormone of youth, melatonin, is produced only in complete darkness. In addition, it is important not to forget that waking up early is another remedy for insomnia. And morning exercises, not artificial stimulants tea or coffee, will help you wake up completely. Doctors recommend avoiding these drinks for a while. You need to eat more raw fruits and vegetables. It is necessary to relax in the fresh air more often – preferably outside the city.
