#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. White nights have replaced the polar day. Since July 25, the sun no longer shines around the clock.
The polar day lasted 68 days, it began on May 19. For more than two months, the sun did not drop below the horizon at night. July 25 – strictly according to the cycle – the polar day was replaced by white nights. They will last more than 23 days, until August 15. Then twilight nights will come – during this period, daylight hours will gradually decrease. And on November 30, the polar night will fall on the city – until January 13.
It should be reminded that now in Norilsk and Taimyr, cloudberries are ripening in swampy lands: closer to August, their berries turn yellow-red, but still stay quite firm. August in the North is the time of the most picturesque sky.
