#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Valentina Semenyuk, operator of the control panel of the surface-filling complex of the Skalisty mine and participant of the Nornickel’s corporate competition, Stars Corporation, presented a doll made with her own hands for the competition.
The idea was to depict the important role of women in production. That is why the doll is assembled from an unusual combination of fabrics – robe and tulle.
“This is a reflection of the image of women in the company. We put on robes, but in our hearts we have tulle – beauty, femininity, tenderness. I believe that working with your hands is good for brain development. Everyone can buy necessary things in the store and try to make something unique”, says Valentina.
By the way, as a child, our heroine attended the drama club: she devoted seven years to theatrical art – she saw herself as an actress. But her mother did not let her go to Moscow to get the profession.
“I have always been very active, always have my own opinion and express it. Therefore, I chose activities related to communication. For example, I worked in a flower shop for a long time. A large flow of people, a joyful atmosphere – most often people come for bouquets for a pleasant occasion”, she recalls.
Valentina does not leave her main hobby – needlework. She even opened her own specialized store, which was quite successful. And only years later, according to her, she realized how much time the business took.
“For the last seven years I have been working at the Nornickel’s Polar Division. I remember when I started this work, I cried for several days. This is not a flower shop – it is a plant, production, other people, conditions. Later I got used to it: I got a job in a working profession, got into a good team, and was received very warmly. And I don’t want to leave. I love my job, it is interesting”, Valentina admits.
Despite any busyness, she finds time for her favorite hobby. She also writes poetry.
