#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The traditional, 19th, Northern Cities Futsal Cup among veterans started in Norilsk. The first round games took place last weekend.
As before, four veteran teams are participating in the competition: from the Central region of Norilsk, Talnah, Kayerkan and Dudinka. The first round took place last weekend in the ore capital at the Talnah sports complex. Unfortunately, due to unfavorable weather conditions, athletes from Dudinka were unable to come to the games.
The matches were played in a round robin format. The Norilsk team, not without difficulty, beat the home team with a score of 3:1 and greatly outplayed their opponents from Kayerkan – 7:3, and the Talnah team prevailed over the Kayerkan team – 7:2.
Let us note that there are three more rounds ahead, each of which will take place in one of the cities (districts) participating in the tournament. The next tour is scheduled for February 17 in Dudinka. The results will be announced at the end of April. Last year, veterans of the Central district celebrated their victory.
We also reported that Norilsk is preparing to host the first ever Final Four of the Russian Futsal Cup.
