#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. A 50 kilowatt diesel power plant (DPP) and a boiler with a pump were purchased at the Yamkun medical rehabilitation center at the Nornickel’s expense. The equipment was purchased as part of a trilateral agreement between the Gazimuro-Zavodsky district administration, the Trans-Baikal territory development fund and Nornickel.
The new power plant allows not to suspend the work of a medical institution in case of power outages, as happened before. The capacity of the diesel power plant is also enough to provide electricity to all Yamkun buildings, a canteen and pumping units.
Yamkun is one of the oldest health resorts in Transbaikalia. Patients with diseases of the peripheral nervous system and the musculoskeletal system, including cerebral palsy, are treated there. The center is also undergoing rehabilitation after the coronavirus.
Recall that one of Nornickel’s enterprises, Bystrinsky MC, is located in Transbaikalia.
Earlier, we reported that Nornickel had committed itself to developing corporate healthcare. A new medical center has recently been opened in Norilsk. In addition, the company, the Krasnoyarsk region government and the Norilsk municipality entered into an agreement on the development of healthcare in the city.
