Information agencies Interfax and AK&M, accredited by the Bank of Russia for information disclosure on the stock market, presented Nornickel with the annual award for information transparency. The company has not reduced its disclosure volumes in 2022 and is consistently demonstrating its commitment to the transparency principles, the experts stated.
When selecting the winner, the award takes into account the completeness and timeliness of disclosure of reports, corporate events, information about ultimate owners, informative messages, including the company’s attention to environmental, social responsibility and corporate governance (ESG) issues.
“The company, unlike many other issuers, did not use the opportunity to close the information. It is still one of the first to publish IFRS financial statements and disclose additional information that may be important for investors”, said Vladimir Gerasimov, the award jury chairman, Interfax Group executive director.
The jury appreciated the Nornickel’s corporate website’s convenience, the high quality of the company’s reporting, and the prompt publication of material facts. In addition to standard non-financial reporting, Nornickel also discloses ESG data in the format of presentations and ESG data book, which is convenient for analysts and optimal for perception.
The award jury, which includes representatives of news agencies, trading platforms, the Association of Independent Directors, also noted the company’s openness when communicating with journalists.
