#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The first thematic session of the Museum vacational camp – the most popular educational and entertainment program of play-based museum activities among Norilsk schoolchildren and their parents, which awakens a keen scientific interest in children – has ended in the Norilsk Museum.
The first session was devoted to astronomy and chemistry.
“During 15 museum lessons, girls and boys got acquainted with two difficult natural sciences, gained new useful knowledge and skills, played, drew and, of course, made friends with each other”, the Norilsk Museum specialists said.
From today, two new streams will be launched. Young polar explorers will begin training at the Norilsk Museum, and young biologists will start the activities at the Talnah branch of the museum.
The participants of the Arctic expedition will build a sledding tent, make a safe fire, equip a dog team, and make their way through the snow and blizzard to the meteorological station. They will learn the rules of survival in the harsh conditions of the North Pole, prepare for extreme situations and draw up a plan to rescue their friends if they suddenly find themselves on a melting ice floe, learn to navigate the terrain and make maps.
Earlier we talked about the fact that the Norilsk Museum presented the first materials from the expedition to the remote villages of Taimyr.
