Norilsk gymnast among favorites at all-Russian competitions

Competitions are held in Krasnoyarsk with the participation of more than one hundred strongest athletes.

#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. A pupil of the sports school №2, candidate for master of sports in artistic gymnastics Sergey Mikhno went to the tournament dedicated to the memory of the Olympic champion Elena Naymushina.

The competition started today, November 11, in the regional capital, where more than a hundred participants from 11 regions of the country are competing for the title of the best. The Krasnoyarsk national team includes Sergey Mikhno from Norilsk, a multiple winner and prize-winner of regional, and all-Russian competitions. He is considered one of the main favorites of the tournament. The athlete is being coached by Alexander Korostelev.

The 14-year-old gymnast has a chance to return home with a gold medal this time, the coaches of the sports school №2 hope.

“Sergey has repeatedly won at a high level in various types of all-around, he is the star of our school. We have high hopes for him. In the prevailing conditions of the pandemic, when children missed a lot of workouts, all conditions were created so that he continued classes and was ready to perform. We are counting on him”, the sports school coaches shared.
