#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. At the beginning of April, the international and all-Russian competition Success Cup was held in Novosibirsk, in which about two thousand people from 40 regions of Russia and 14 countries of the world took part.
At the competition, in the individual championship in the 10-11 year old category, Zahar Nurkenov became first, and Kirill Kireyev won silver. According to Alexey Nurkenov, karate coach and director of the Olimp martial arts and fitness center, this is a worthy result, considering that 56 children competed in this category.
The kata group in the 10–11 year old category, consisting of Zahar Nurkenov, Kirill Kireyev and Lev Kislov, demonstrated brilliant performance and received gold. In the 14–17 year old category, the team of athletes consisting of Sergey Belomorsky, Danil Borisov and Alexey Vysotsky took third place.
According to Alexey Nurkenov, after returning to Norilsk, the Olymp karatekas only caught their breath a little and went on the road again – this time to the competition in Kazan, which took place the day before.
“2.2 thousand athletes from 48 regions and 10 countries took part in Kazan competition. In the individual championship in the 10-11 year old category, Zahar Nurkenov became second, and Kirill Kireyev was third”, shared Alexey Nurkenov.
The kata group in the 10-11 year old category consisting of Zahar Nurkenov, Kirill Kireyev and Lev Kislov brought silver medals from the Kazan competitions.
Victories would be impossible without the many years of work of the athletes and the skill of the coach, who every year invests his knowledge and experience in the children and believes in their success.
“All the guys have been training with me since they were four years old, now many of those who won prizes in the individual championship will turn twelve, that is, the guys have been training for about eight years. This is a significant period for an athlete to show results, which was confirmed by the competitions”, the coach emphasized.
