#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The Taimyr Explorers’ Club (TEC) with its Norilsk Explorer’s School educational program has been supported by the grant competition of the Russian Federation president for the fourth time in a row.
“I admit that our project is the only one in Russia that has received four presidential grants in a row, and this circumstance is a reason not only for pride that spills over the edge, but also for very responsible and hard work”, the project manager and the school director Stanislav Stryuchkov shared. “Recently, we’ve received a presidential certificate on the proper implementation of previous grant programs, thereby entering the elite of the winning public organizations”.
The new TEC program, according to Stanislav Stryuchkov, has been significantly improved and expanded. There is a year and a half of hard work ahead, where there will be space for lectures, seminars, classes in archives and field trips.
“We even provide antivirus restrictions to get things done. In addition, the school will give the best participants the opportunity to continue their scientific work at the most serious level with the help of specialized scientists”, added the head of the most popular educational project in Norilsk.
Stanislav Stryuchkov thanked TEC’s partners, including the Severny Gorod media company, for supporting the project.
The winners of the competition were determined on January 14 at the meeting of the coordinating committee of the Presidential Grants Fund. A total of 10 063 projects from Russian non-profit organizations were submitted to the competition. 2 000 initiatives became winners. The total amount of project support is 4.2 billion rubles.
