#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Service members of the environmental platoon of the Central Military District, who have been participating in the elimination of garbage in the Arctic for several years, have collected more than 20 tons of scrap metal in the area of the Taimyr village of Volochanka.
The military collected and delivered to temporary storage about 50 metal barrels, three tanks with a volume of one thousand cubic meters, as well as various pipes. In addition, with the help of sappers, three metal structures of buildings were brought down.
More than 30 service members, for whom an autonomous field camp has been deployed, and about 20 pieces of equipment, took part in the elimination of ecological waste. In total, this year they plan to take out 600 tons of garbage.
