#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. In 2025, manuls will appear again in the Krasnoyarsk flora and fauna park Royev Rouchey. The park director Rinat Iskhakov announced.
In an interview with Gorod Prima, he noted that the park’s managers already have an offer to buy these cats; they can be brought from the Novosibirsk or Moscow zoo. Krasnoyarsk residents also asked to bring capybaras to Royev Rouchey.
“It’s a little more complicated with capybaras. These are heat-loving animals; in winter, they need to be kept in a warm enclosure with a certain temperature. In addition, this is a rare species – they practically do not reproduce in our zoos”, Iskhakov noted.
The park’s population has already been replenished with a coati and a pair of mongooses from Minsk, and the zebras have given birth to a long-awaited foal.
