#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The results of the audiovisual arts competition The Arctic and Siberia through the Lens of an Aborigine were summed up in the Taimyr House of Folk Art.
46 participants from Norilsk and Dudinka, Hatanga and Turuhansk, the villages of Tuhard, Nosok, Heta and Syndassko sent their works to the jury. Experts: photo artists, journalists, video specialists – evaluated documentaries and videos about the traditional occupations of the small peoples of the Far North, about the animal and plant life of the Arctic, sketches from the settlements of the Taimyr peninsula.
The jury’s verdict was as follows: the best documentary was shot by Norilsk resident Demyan Bulavinets. His film is called Campsite: Life Through the eyes of a reindeer herder.
Anton Gerasimov for Fisherman’s Day and The City of Dudinka was recognized as the winner among the authors of reportage photography.
In the Short Video category the winner was Emilia Tesedo from the village of Nosok, in the section Modern Photography – Sergey Sidorchuk from Turuhansk.
In addition, by the decision of the jury, incentive prizes will be received by the children’s television studio Peremena (Norilsk), Maria Bettu (Heta), Mikhail Mikhailov (Hatanga), Ravil Ismailov (Dudinka), Elena Makeshova (Hatanga) and Toroso Tesedo (Nosok).
