#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The Sredne-Nevsky shipyard in St. Petersburg continues to build two passenger ships for the Krasnoyarsk-Dudinka route. The Krasnoyarsk region governor Mikhail Kotyukov, who visited the plant, was told about the progress of the work.
“This is an absolutely new product of Russian shipbuilding. Electrical installation work and equipment installation are underway on the Victor Astafyev, which was already launched in June. The hull of the Andrey Dubensky motor ship has been completed, and the necessary systems are also being assembled there”, said Mikhail Kotyukov.
Thus, on the Victor Astafyev motor ship, the interior spaces are being equipped, the mechanisms and devices are being adjusted, elevators and lifting equipment are being installed, and electrical installation work is underway. Next year, if the tests are successfully completed, the vessel should be delivered to Krasnoyarsk region via the Northern Sea Route, the region’s official portal reports.
The main hull work on the second vessel, Andrey Dubensky, has been completed, thrusters, water treatment and wastewater treatment stations, and sanitary blocks for the crew cabins have been installed. Portholes and superstructure tiers are currently being installed inside the vessel.
