#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. While the cool weather remains in Norilsk, temperature records are being marked in Krasnoyarsk. Thus, June 30 turned out to be the hottest summer day for the city in the entire history of observations – on that day the air temperature reached 37,2 degrees, said Dmitry Ulyanov, leading forecaster of the Central Siberian Department for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring.
“The previous record was June 30, 1992 – plus 34,4 degrees. The absolute maximum of June and the absolute maximum of summer were exceeded; the previous record was in 2002 – plus 36,4 degrees. Yesterday was the warmest day of summer in the entire history of meteorological observations”, he said in an interview with TASS.
During this week, daytime temperatures in the regional capital are expected to be between plus 25–30 degrees.
