#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Educational project for high school and secondary specialized college students Knowledge Icebreaker. Homo Science project, supported by Rosatom, supposes to test erudition in quizzes and demonstration of creative abilities.
The main prize for the 25 winners will be participation in the expedition to the North Pole on the FSUE Atomflot’s atomic icebreaker 50 Let Pobedy, which is scheduled for the summer of 2022. The first trip on the icebreaker to the cap of our planet for more than 80 talented schoolchildren and first-year students ended in August 2021.
In the new academic year, the project started on October 8 and will run until the 27th. Students of 7-10th grades and freshmen of secondary vocational schools are invited to participate.
Everyone should register on the site polus.atom.online, and then regularly take quizzes, answering questions from various fields. The rating of the participants will be formed within a month.
At the end, potential finalists will have to record an author’s video with an answer to the question How are science and technology changing the world for the better? and send it to the organizers. The creativity and authorial consistency of the video will be taken into account.
The names of the 25 expedition members will be announced on November 10, Science for Peace and Development World Day. Participants in the top 50, according to the overall ranking, will have access to online training courses. All rankings from 51st to 100th will receive an annual subscription to the audio and e-book service.
