The launch of mobile communications in the villages is scheduled for September-October this year. In summer, the necessary equipment will be delivered to Taimyr.
According to the administration of the municipal district, the Internet in the villages is carried out within the framework of the regional state program Development of the Information Society, thanks to which the region has created conditions for the development of communication services in small and hard-to-reach settlements for three years. This year, Taimyr was allocated more than 17 million rubles for these purposes.
Earlier, we wrote that closer to the summer, a deep-sea fiber-optic cable with a length of 12.6 thousand kilometers will begin to be laid in the Arctic. We also reported that Artemy Lebedev’s studio designed a website for the Volochanka village.
