#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The first section of the line will be laid from the village of Teriberka (Murmansk region) to Amderma (Nenets Autonomous Okrug), the work is planned to be completed by 2022. In parallel, surveys will begin in Taimyr, in the section from Dikson to Tiksi (Yakutia). The entire project should be completed by 2026.
The transmission speed over the line will be up to 100 terabits per second. The maximum temperatures that the cable will withstand are minus 50 degrees. It is planned to lay it with a depth of up to 1.5 meters. Nine vessels will participate in the laying work, and 150 optical repeaters are planned to be installed on the route. The project, which is estimated at 65 billion rubles, is financed by the state.
