#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. According to the calculations of many climatologists, the Arctic ice in the summer period may completely disappear by 2050.
The ice cover in the Arctic has been rapidly decreasing over the past 40 years. The scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center Roman Vilfand stated that scientists intend to recalculate temperature norms based on data from 1991 to 2020. This should smooth out deviations from the norm.
Earlier, a record rapid warming was recorded at the North Pole.
Scientists predict that in the period from 2040 to 2060, sea ice will not remain in the Arctic in the summer, and permafrost will disappear in Alaska.
Recall that 2020 was among the three warmest in the entire history of observations.
