Investors can count on subsidized interest rates on loans.

#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Five investment projects in the Arctic will receive subsidies in the amount of 1.4 billion rubles this year. This decision was made by the Presidium of the State Commission for the Development of the Arctic.

The Russian government website says:

Due to a significant increase in the key rate of the Bank of Russia, entrepreneurs implementing investment projects faced an increase in the cost of credit funds. An interest rate subsidy program was developed for investors implementing projects in the Arctic to support the business.

Among the projects that will receive support are the Syradasai coal deposit’s development in Taimyr, the Harbey oil and gas condensate field’s development in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District, the airport complex construction in Novy Urengoy, the gas chemical complex creation in the Nenets Autonomous District, the Lavna coal transshipment complex construction in the offshore port of Murmansk. The total investment in these projects is 573 billion rubles. Their implementation will create more than two thousand jobs.
