Despite the fact that the polar night in the northern city ended three months ago, the sun did not really appear right away: until the end of March, there was a period of day and night in Norilsk.
Twilight nights will end in 12 days, April 26. Then, until May 19, there will be white nights, and after that the long-awaited polar day will come: for 68 days the sun will not go beyond the horizon.
From July 26, the cycle will go in the opposite direction, and the apogee will come on November 30 with the arrival of the polar night, which will continue for 45 days.
Today the length of the day in Norilsk will be 15 hours 49 minutes. Each day will be 9 minutes longer than the previous one. The residents of Norilsk will meet May Day with a day length of 18 hours and 33 minutes, and on the first summer day we will be gladdened by the polar day.
