The territorial bodies of the Federal Penitentiary Service belonging to the Arctic zone are working on the issue of attracting convicts to forced labor to cleanse the Arctic zone from pollution, including the ability to be located in mobile modular structures for the residence of convicts. The corresponding agreements have already been reached with the administration of the Krasnoyarsk region. According to them, a correctional center for 56 people should appear in Norilsk for this purpose.
The same center is planned to be located in the Arkhangelsk region. Negotiations with regional authorities are ongoing.
