The competitions, organized by the sports department of the city administration and the sports tourism federation, were held on Dolgoye lake with the participation of 14 crews. The athletes overcame the water route in two-seater kayaks.
According to the championship organizers, last year the competition had to be canceled due to the pandemic and restriction measures, so this time the participants were especially determined to win.
“The competitions were held at a good level. Organizationally, the sports department and the management of Ol-Gul helped us a lot: they provided kayaks, a tent, a table, and chairs. The weather was a little unlucky: a strong wind was blowing, but this was not a trouble for the participants. Not a single overkill happened. There were unexpected results, for example, the Combat Brotherhood team surprised us”, noted the chief judge of the competition Nikita Zlotnikov.
In the final protocol among men’s teams, Triton (Nikolay Sorokov, Maxim Zaharkov) took first place, Nadezhda (Andrey Petrov, Evgeny Kuzmin) were second, Samovars (Vladislav Golub, Kim Issarin) took third place.
Among the mixed crews, the victory was celebrated by the Combat Brotherhood team (Oleg Shaldaev, Anna Karlova), followed by the Triton (Nikolay Sorokov, Yulia Andreeva) and the Samovars (Vladislav Golub, Yaroslava Golub).
