#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The Nauka publishing house has recorded an increase in the number of publications by Taimyr researchers in scientific journals. According to Mikhail Fomin, deputy director of the Nauka publishing house, an analysis of all scientific publications in the published journals showed a rapid coverage of regional institutes and scientific centers throughout Russia. If in July, authors from 43 regions of Russia were presented in journals published by the Nauka publishing house, then in August, authors from 45 regions were published in journals, and in September, from 61 regions of our country.
“We see that the results of field research by scientists from the Krasnoyarsk region, Yakutia, and Crimea are being published”, said Mikhail Fomin. “The authors show a lot of publications based on material from 2022–2024”.
In total, 16 authors demonstrated affiliation with Krasnoyarsk scientific institutions over four months. Two scientific articles about Taimyr even made it into the top 10 of the September publication ratings of the Nauka publishing house. These are the article ‘Opposite trends in the dynamics of Arctic lakes in northern Siberia during climate change in 1985–2021’ by Yu. M. Polischuk and M. A. Kupriyanova and the article ‘Features of the horizontal structure of the tree layer of the Larix gmelini (RUPR.) RUPR. cenopopulation in the forest-tundra ecotone on the Taimyr peninsula’ by I. A. Bondareva and O. P. Sekretenko.
It is expected that the collection of journals of the Nauka publishing house will increase in the coming years. The printing capacity allows for the publication of up to 500 journal titles.
Earlier, a stamp was issued in Russia in honor of the Arctic explorer.
