#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The reading center of the Yakutia National Library announced the opening of applications for the All-Russian creative competition for children Tales of the Arctic and the North. The purpose of the competition is to introduce the culture of the North and the Arctic to children and develop their creative abilities.
Until March 31, children and adolescents from 7 to 14 years old will be accepted for work on the topic The Arctic Through Children’s Eyes in the following categories: literature (fairy tales, short stories, poems, etc.); illustrations (drawings, posters for a literary work or a work of one’s own composition); media resources (cartoons, short videos, children’s book trailer).
From April 8 to April 14, 2024, a popular vote will be held on the website of the National Library’s reading center, based on the results of which the ten best works will be selected, among which experts will determine the winner and laureates of the competition. The results will be posted on the website kids.nlrs.ru no later than May 30, and the winners will be awarded on June 1, 2024, Children’s Day.
