Arctic Attraction photo exhibition opened in Moscow

The exposition features unique shots from the Russian Arctic atlas.

#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The Attraction of the Arctic photo exhibition, organized by Rosneft oil company in cooperation with the non-state development institute Innopraktika, has opened on Tsvetnoy boulevard in the Moscow center.

The exposition features unique shots from the Russian Arctic. Space. Time. Resources atlas (a joint project of Rosneft and Innopraktika), as well as photographs from Rosneft’s research expeditions.

The capital’s residents and guests can see the majestic nature of the Far North, rare animals listed in the Red Book, get acquainted with the company’s scientific projects.

The exhibition can be viewed until January 30. Another exposition dedicated to the region is Arctic. Creation and Development – is held on Manezhnaya square next to the Rosneft New Year tree.

As a reminder, the company is implementing a comprehensive scientific program in the Far North. Since 2012, the Rosneft Arctic Research Center has organized more than 30 expeditions in the northern seas, collected a unique array of data on the natural and climatic conditions of the Russian Arctic. Geological, oceanological, hydrometeorological and ecological research is carried out in cooperation with the country’s leading scientific institutes.

In 2021, under the program for the conservation of the Arctic ecosystems biodiversity, the specialists continued to study the populations of animal-bioindicators: polar bears, atlantic walrus, and wild reindeer. As part of a stratigraphic drilling project to study the northern seas geology, the first ever Eastern Arctic core was mined. The Clean Arctic project is also continued to eliminate environmental damage accumulated during the Soviet era.

In addition, Rosneft is building berths in Taimyr to develop transport logistics for its largest project, Vostok Oil. We also reported that Rosneft class was opened in Dudinka.
