A tourist meeting was held among the city’s schoolchildren in Dudinka. It was attended by two teams from each educational institution, 78 children in total. The competitions were held in two age categories. Due to the difficult epidemic situation in the region, the program was corrected: one competitions day instead of three.
Vitaly Brikin, the deputy head of Taimyr, Tatyana Lebedeva, the acting head of the education department, and Nina Ruban, the director of the Junior Center for Tourism and Creativity, congratulated the young tourists on the start of the competition. After the tour opening ceremony, each team set up a small camp, tents and cleaned their territory. Then the young tourists took part in a tourist song competition.
The route consisted of eight checkpoints in each three-stage relay. The teams had to overcome the water obstacle by boat, cross the swamp and go through the sports maze. The distance was full of special tasks: the schoolchildren knitted knots, determined the azimuth to the object, provided assistance to the injured, and learned to navigate the terrain using a map.
As a result of the competition, the winners and participants were awarded with camping furniture, gas stoves with a set of cylinders and a portable audio system.
This year Norilsk, due to the pandemic, did not host a large annual gathering of tourists on the Haraelah river. Last summer, it was the 51st in a row.
