#ARCTIC. SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Arctic – Taimyr book was published thanks to the support of the Nornickel and the Arctic Development Project Office (PORA).
The publication continues the environmental and educational program of the Taimyr Museum of Local Lore called We are children of the Arctic.
The book includes 212 photographs, each of which emotionally and colorfully tells about our land. About 50 photographic works are panoramic shots made thanks to new technologies that allowed the photographer to capture unusual landscapes from a bird’s eye view.
The book photographs tell about Dudinka, Norilsk and its mining and metallurgical enterprises; there are pages dedicated to Dikson and the nature of Taimyr. Thanks to Denis, we find ourselves on the Putorana plateau, see the waters of the mighty Yeniseiy and turquoise ice floes during the ice drift. By the way, Denis Gaskov takes extremely beautiful pictures of the ice drift on the river, his works were published by many regional information publications.
A separate chapter of the album is titled Wonders of the Arctic and shows us the northern lights as a creative person sees it.
Dudinka museum workers say that the Arctic – Taimyr photo book is a gift to their fellow countrymen for the Day of Taimyr and the upcoming New Year.
