102 centenarians live in Krasnoyarsk region

In total, almost three million people live in the region.

#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. According to Krasnoyarskstat, as of January 1, 2023, 2 845 545 people lived in our region. Of these, 79.6 percent are in cities, and 20.4 percent are in rural areas.

During the year, the population decreased by 10,781 people. The natural decline is 11,780 people, the migration gain is 999. Most of the population has increased in Krasnoyarsk – 3,802 people.

Last year, 26,427 children were born in the region, which is 1979 less than in 2021. The birth rate – the average number of children per woman – fell from 1.51 to 1.43.

“38,207 people died in our region in 2022, which is 8,825 people less than in 2021. Life expectancy in 2022 was 70.6 years, in 2021 – 68.3,” the agency’s analysts explained.

At the beginning of 2023, 568,184 children aged 15 and under lived in Krasnoyarsk. There are 610,027 pensioners over 60 in the region. At the same time, the number of long-livers aged 90 years and over is 7974. Of these, 102 people are 100 years old and over. There are significantly more long-lived women than men: 80 and 22 people, respectively.

Earlier, Krasnoyarskstat named the most popular and rare names for newborns in the Yenisey Siberia regions.
