The head of the Military Academy of Logistics after Army General Khrulev Andrey Toporov said that in April this year, KamAZ successfully tested unmanned trucks in the conditions of the Arctic region.
Taking to consideration the tests’ results, the army general and deputy defense minister Dmitry Bulgakov said that this development direction of the military automotive equipment is the most promising and priority for the Arctic zone, as well as for the climate and road conditions of the Far North and Far East regions.
We point out that the Russian parliament has recently adopted a package of Arctic laws. According to them, the entire Russian Arctic, to which Norilsk belongs, is becoming a special economic zone.
