#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. China is ready to develop cooperation with Russia in various areas, including in the Arctic. This was stated by the Chinese Foreign Ministry’s official representative, Mao Ning.
The One Belt, One Road forum was held in Beijing, which is an international initiative of China to modernize existing and create new trade and transport arteries connecting more than 60 countries of Central Asia, Europe and Africa, the Prime publication reports.
In his speech, Russian president Vladimir Putin noted that the country would be glad to see the participation of interested countries in cooperation in the development of the Northern Sea Route.
“China is ready to cooperate with Russia in various fields, including the Arctic, on the basis of the principles of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit”, Mao Ning said in response to a question about China’s readiness to conduct a constructive dialogue with Russia about the Northern Sea Route .
Earlier, India announced its intention to build icebreakers jointly with Russia.
We also told you that for the development of the Northern Sea Route until 2035, they plan to build 120 ships of various types and purposes, in particular, the group of Russian icebreaker fleet in the NSR waters will grow to 18 ships by 2035.
