#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. In 1958, the school prepared the first graduation group – 37 overhead and gantry crane operators.
At first, the school worked in the building of the Norilsk technical school on 50 years of October street. In 1966, it got its own building on Pavlov street.
The first building was a production one, and a hostel was placed there. In the second – there was an audience, a dining room, assembly and sports halls. In 1981 workshops were added to the yard.
Initially, it was planned that in addition to 100 Norilsk evening students, 190 teenagers from Yeniseisk, Turuhansk, Igarka, Dudinka and Taimyr villages would study at the daytime department.
Last November, the educational institution celebrated its 65th anniversary.
In the History Spot, we told that a children’s book created by a Norillag prisoner has survived to this day and has been published.
