#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The first teachers also moved from Minusinsk. On September 1, 190 first students came to the lecture: 130 future paramedics and 60 nurses. Not everyone made it to the final year in 1960. On July 4, the first graduation was celebrated: 132 diplomas, 12 of them with honors. Seven of the best received referrals to the medical institute.
At first, the school was housed in one-story barracks. Later it moved to a hospital town, but to a building unsuitable for the educational process.
When that building was declared emergency and intended for partial demolition, the medical school moved again: only 12 desks and a skeleton model were taken with them.
And finally, since 1980, the school has been located in its own premises on Talnahskaya street, where it is adjacent to a dermatovenerologic dispensary.
In 2009, the northernmost medical school became a college. For 60 years of work, more than five thousand specialists graduated from it, over 400of them received diplomas with honors.
In the last issue of the History Spot photo project, we talked about black blizzards.
