The guests of the Central House of Writers were Norilsk residents of all generations. The meeting on the occasion of the combine’s golden anniversary was opened by a famous poet Robert Rozhdestvensky, at that time secretary of the USSR Writers Union board. One of the first before the guests of the Central House of Writers was a writer Evgeny Ryabchikov. He was joined by another former Norillag prisoner, an artist of the Second Polar Theater, Georgy Zhzhenov, and a former Norilsk schoolboy Vladislav Piavko performed arias from his repertoire at the Bolshoi Theater for fellow countrymen.
Norilsk-1985 was represented by the director of the Norilsk mining and metallurgical industry Boris Kolesnikov with representatives of the main enterprises of the combine.
There was also a concert in which a humor performer Arkady Arkanov, public favorites Alexander Shirvindt and Mikhail Derzhavin and other celebrities participated.
Two photo exhibitions met the guests in the lobby of the Central House of Writers.
