Young Taimyr nomads returned to school after summer vacation

About 600 children of reindeer herders and hunters sat down at their desks.

#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. About 600 children were delivered from the tundra to boarding schools of the Taimyr municipal district. This school year, 197 young nomads began their studies in the city of Dudinka, 37 in the village of Karaul, 150 in the village of Nosok, another 30 children will be brought by their parents, 178 schoolchildren in the village of Hatanga, 9 in the village of Syndassko, and 8 students in the village of Popigai. The young northerners will return home only for the New Year holidays, the Taimyr administration press service reported.

The last flight to the polar capital brought children from the Noskovskaya and Tukhardskaya tundra. At the boarding school of Dudinka school No. 1, the children underwent a mandatory medical examination. In addition, they were provided with clothing, footwear and necessary stationery.

Earlier, it was reported that nomadic kindergartens would be created in Taimyr from September 1.
