#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Nornickel goalkeeper Willian Dorn has won international recognition, becoming the best goalkeeper in futsal (mini-football). The results of the competition were announced last night.
The award is traditional and is awarded by the authoritative international publication Futsalplanet.com. Willian Dorn beat other contenders in the top 10, becoming the best futsal goalkeeper in the world in 2023.
The goalkeeper joined the Nornickel ranks during the last season. He played 14 matches for Norilsk and at the end of the season was among the goalkeepers in the league who saved the most penalties – three. Now he is preparing for the World Cup as part of the Brazilian national team, which will be held in Uzbekistan from September 14 to October 6. It is noteworthy that Willian Dorn is the only Brazilian player in the Russian Super League at the World Cup.
As we previously reported, Nornickel made a strong start to the new championship, beating its opponents in the first two rounds – Novaya Generatsiya and Sibiryak.
