#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The World Health Organization (WHO) called on all countries to return to the mask regime due to the new coronavirus wave. The WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus noted that new omicron strain variations continued to spread across the planet.
“The mask regime return in all countries will help to fight against the pandemic. The new outbreak is putting additional pressure on overburdened health systems and healthcare workers. The number of deaths is also growing”, Sky News TV channel reports the words of Ghebreyesus.
3,929 people have been infected with the coronavirus in Russia over the past day according to the operational headquarters. There is no sharp jump in cases in the Krasnoyarsk Territory: on July 13, 26 cases were found in region.
Meanwhile, the Moscow operational headquarters said that the number of new cases increased by more than 50 percent in a week. Residents and guests of the capital are advised to wear masks indoors.
According to the Federal Service for the Oversight of Consumer Protection and Welfare head Anna Popova, Russia does not require any anti-epidemic restrictions due to the increase in the number of detected cases. However, she noted that basic precautions should not be neglected: people from vulnerable categories are advised to wear masks in public places and use antiseptics. The recommendation for revaccination against COVID-19 is also maintained.
