The department says that the salary is up to 200 thousand rubles, but, as RG writes with reference to the Northern Directorate for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, such earnings are obtained, as a rule, by combining positions. At the same time, all employees of the Arctic meteorological stations are fully supported by the state. In addition, during their work, many polar explorers rent out their permanent residence apartments and thus increase their income.
