#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Head of the Taimyr Alexey Chlenov, chairman of the district council of deputies Vladimir Shishov, dead of Dudinka Yury Gurin and chairman of the city council of deputies Sergey Borodin took part in the all-Russian charity event Wish Tree and helped fulfil the dreams of children.
The New Year’s tree in the municipal district administration building is annually decorated with unusual paper balls. They contain the cherished wishes of children who believe in miracles, the press service of the Taimyr Dolgano-Nenets Municipal District administration reported.
The Taimyr head chose balls-cards with dreams of six-year-old Ekaterina Vasilyuk and seven-year-old Ilya Yar. The children asked Father Frost for a tube for sliding and a musical toy.
“This mission is really honourable and at the same time exciting, because in these wishes there is the kids’ destiny. They sincerely believe that Father Frost exists. And we act as magicians to make this dream come true. Today the dreams of many children are realised, they will certainly receive their desired gifts on the eve of the New Year”, said the head of the district.
Vladimir Shishov will fulfil the wishes of 10-year-old Ilina Amagzaeva and 12-year-old Daniil Mutayev. On New Year’s Eve they made a wish for a creative suitcase Artist’s Kit and a magnetic constructor.
“We always wait for the New Year holiday with a special mood. And it is especially joyful for our children. And that’s why we want to fulfil the dreams of all those children who made a wish”, he explained.
Victoria Petunskaya, 12, and Sergey Morev, 15, will receive a cherished set of stationery and a smart watch as gifts from Yury Gurin.
The cards that Sergey Borodin took down from the New Year’s tree hid the dreams of 14-year-old Vasily Ryabov and four-year-old Dayana Tsatsurina. The children dream to receive a professional art set (acrylic paints and brushes) and a doll-puppet with doctor’s accessories as a gift.
In addition, the deputy head of the Taymyr, administrative staff, deputies of the district and city councils, representatives of law enforcement agencies, subsoil users, port workers, entrepreneurs and concerned citizens volunteered to fulfil the cherished dream of Taimyr children and take part in the campaign. They will fulfil the wishes of about 400 children from the Dudinka orphanage, correctional school, children with disabilities, pupils of the Taimyr comprehensive social service centre, children from disadvantaged and low-income families, as well as from Taimyr settlements.
Anyone can become a participant of the charity event by going to the official website of the Christmas Tree of Wishes – 2024 campaign елкажеланий.рф and selecting a gift recipient from any region of the country.
Earlier, Norilsk head Dmitry Karasev presented three Norilsk children with gifts from the Wishing Tree.
