#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The Agency for the Northern Territories Development and Krasnoyarsk region Indigenous Minorities Support continues to accept applications for social benefits. Funds are provided for the purchase, delivery and installation of prefabricated houses for indigenous peoples leading a nomadic lifestyle.
According to regional legislation, northerners who are recognized as in need of residential premises provided under a social tenancy agreement and who have a land plot by right of ownership, lease or free use can apply for this support measure.
“The amount of social payment for the construction of a house in Taimyr is 7 million 194.6 thousand rubles. The exception is Hatanga: due to the inaccessibility of the village, the amount of social payments for housing construction there is much higher – 9 million 161.9 thousand rubles”, the Agency for the Northern Territories Development and Krasnoyarsk region Indigenous Minorities Support reports on its page on social networks.
The area of each house being built has to be at least 50 square meters.
We previously reported that nine houses will be built for reindeer herders and fishermen this year. Together with government funding for construction, private funding is also being provided: Nornickel is helping to build residential buildings and social facilities in Taimyr villages.
