Students of Taimyr program participants started their studies

More than 5.5 million rubles have been allocated for training indigenous peoples at the Norilsk State Industrial Institute.

#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. 19 representatives of indigenous peoples – residents of Dudinka and remote villages will receive free education. All training costs were covered by Norilsk Nickel, which promised to employ the students after graduation. In addition, the company pledged to compensate Taimyr residents for living and travel expenses to study and back, and also provided a scholarship of 20 thousand rubles, including correspondence students during the sessions. In total, this academic year, the city-forming enterprise has allocated more than 5.5 million rubles for the program.

As the rector of the Norilsk State Industrial Institute Dmitry Dubrov told, almost all the are part-time ones, most of them acquire knowledge in the areas of economics and management, construction and metallurgy.
