#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The revenues of the regional budget for next year will amount to 414.3 billion rubles, expenses – 492.7 billion. It became known that the main financial document of the region will retain its social focus.
More than 2.9 billion rubles will be allocated for the region’s northern territories development and support for the traditional way of life and traditional economic activities of indigenous peoples in the next three years.
“Next year, expenses will increase for the construction of log houses for reindeer herders, as well as for providing them with communications equipment and kerosene. Compensation of expenses for farms engaged in the development of northern reindeer herding is planned. In addition, funds are provided for the purchase of snowmobiles, boats and first aid kits”, the Krasnoyarsk region government press service reported.
The budget has increased funds to support grant projects for residents of the northern territories. Indigenous youth will also receive support – additional scholarships, compensation for travel and education.
In total, more than 70 measures of state support are provided within the framework of the state program Preservation and development of the traditional way of life and economic activity of indigenous peoples.
