#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The tenth anniversary festival of the Night Hockey League is in full swing. By tradition, the strongest teams from all over the country came to Sochi, where for almost two weeks they have been identifying the winners in various divisions.
Let us remind you that the right to represent Norilsk at the all-Russian final on the Black Sea coast was won by two Zapolyarniks, each of which in the qualifying regional stage became winners in 40+ and League of Dreams divisions.
The first to enter the game were the players of the ‘adult’ Zapolyarnik in the League of Future Champions division. The Norilsk players played six matches, in two of which they won.
Today the members of the ‘junior’ Zapolyarnik entered the fight, they will play in the League of Dreams. Small Cup. Northerners played with teams from Aksai, Severomorsk, Orel and Sochi.
We add that the Night Hockey League was founded at the end of 2011 on the initiative of Vladimir Putin and the famous veterans of Russian hockey. In 2017, the Norilsk teams joined the league, they are holding qualifying games in two divisions – Dream League and 40+. Vladimir Potanin is the chairman of the league’s board of trustees, and the Nornickel company is the league’s general partner.
As we reported earlier, in April Norilsk hosted a traditional charity match with the participation of the legends of national hockey.
