#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. A chum for indigenous peoples of the North (North indigenous minorities’ home) with an artificial intelligence system has been developed in Krasnoyarsk region – it works on the smart home system.
As Nikolay Aprosimov, head of the Ayana project office, told TASS, the traditional dwelling of the Evenk nomads has not changed since the 19th century and needs to be modernized.
The chum has satellite communications with Internet access, as well as a voice assistant that can call emergency services, control lighting and heating. In addition, the chum owner can use telemedicine services, and use drones to monitor reindeer grazing.
Artur Gayulsky, the North Indigenous Peoples Association president, believes that improving living conditions will help reduce the outflow of young people from the Arctic.
Earlier, Nornickel shared its experience of supporting indigenous peoples. This Is Taimyr also reported that two new books were published in the Evenki and Dolgan languages.
