#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. On the ground floor of the sports and entertainment complex Arena, the Nornickel image center was opened. There are no similar centers in other cities where the company operates.
The image center of Nornickel is a kind of launching pad for those who plan to get a job in the company. The idea of creating the center arose after communicating with the company’s employees, said Anastasia Perfilieva, deputy director of the Nornickel Polar Division for personnel and social policy.
“At the meetings that we hold with employees, a proposal was made that it would be most convenient if information about vacancies, social benefits, wages, and overalls and so on appeared in one place. In addition, one could get there without additional passes. As a result, we decided to open an image center in a sports and entertainment center. There is a lot of traffic, and any city dweller can learn more about professions and get a job or change jobs if he already works at Nornickel”, she explained.
Visitors can appreciate the exhibition of work wear and personal protective equipment, get acquainted with the professions and learn about the production projects that the company implements.
Also, in the recruiting center job seekers are offered vacancies, of which today there are about two thousand in the Norilsk division.
“The site is open to everyone. This is a place for dialogue, so that we understand which professions are most in demand among potential employees, what salary and social package they would like to receive. You can buy a lot of modern equipment, but if there are no people, who could work on it, no one needs it. I believe that in general in the Krasnoyarsk region we have the most competitive wages and the highest social package. The main thing for us is people and safe work”, added Anastasia Perfilieva.
The opening of a new job site for the city took place on July 13. Nornickel noted that if the Norilsk experience of the center is successful, it is possible that similar sites will appear in other cities where the company operates.
