#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The Polar State University’s Health Ecology research center has won a grant from Nornickel’s World of New Opportunities social project competition and will launch a health-saving project.
The project, using modern equipment, will help assess the schoolchildren and students’s health in Norilsk. The Health Ecology specialists will develop a municipal educational program on physical culture from grades 1 to 11 using health-saving technologies.
“Bad weather days off, the polar night, getting out of the polar night, getting used to the school routine after long holidays – all these factors must be taken into account when drawing up the school schedule, combining classes with warm-ups. It is important to take into account each student’s body characteristics.
It is very important to study children who have not been involved in sports for a long time, and then suddenly started abruptly. Or the guys who had active classes, and then there was a period of calm: like during the pandemic, for example”, said the project curator, PSU teacher Valery Dubrovin.
