#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The main characters of the project – the Nenets – told reporters about the specifics of life in the tundra and how they manage to preserve their centuries-old way of life. Life.ru has prepared a project about the indigenous peoples of the North.
On the publication’s website you can find answers to the most common questions about culture, crafts, traditional sports and customs of the indigenous people, as well as a short documentary film.
The film crew visited the Far North, where they spent several days in a reindeer herders’ camp and took part in the main nomadic holiday – Reindeer Herder Day. How to survive in minus 50 degrees, why do the Nenets drink deer blood and eat raw fish and meat – the answers to these questions can be found in the new film Following the Ancestors’ Footsteps.
