#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The Nornickel Polar Division’s project office presented the architectural project of Oganer residential development. On a plot of over 11 hectares, eight residential buildings are to be built: five three-entrance and three one-entrance nine-storey houses for 1,377 residents.
In high-rise buildings, elevators and lifts for people with limited mobility will be installed – the houses will fully comply with all modern standards.
The areas around the houses will be equipped with parking, children’s and sports grounds, as well as walking areas. Green spaces will decorate the building.
In addition, a three-story school for 1,100 students with a stadium, a track and other sports grounds, as well as a kindergarten for 270 kids with a swimming pool will be built in Oganer. The preschool institution will also be located in a three-story building.
Now in the district, the shortage of places in schools is 23 percent, and in kindergartens – 50 percent.
When planning, the architects took into account the transport accessibility problem – new roads will be built here: to the district, internal, entrances to the kindergarten, school. Warm bus stops will be provided.
Ivan Pidkivka, project manager of the Project office for the comprehensive measures implementation for the Norilsk development at Nornickel Polar Branch, recalled that the Oganer development program is designed until 2035. The long-planned Brusnichnaya street will appear in the district. The new residential complex will be populated mainly by young and ambitious northerners.
“Since Oganer is far from the main urban development, the color schemes concept for the designed buildings’ facades was proposed by the architects without regard to the historical center. We hope that Oganer, which has better ecological potential compared to the city center, as well as tourist attraction due to its proximity to the Valek airport and camp sites, will become an attraction center for active and enterprising Norilsk residents”, the speaker explained.
Construction will take place in two phases. A kindergarten, a school, three single-entrance blocks of flats will be erected on the first one. During the second one the five nine-story buildings construction and landscaping will be provided. All work is scheduled to be completed in 2029. The total cost of the project is 12 billion rubles.
